COCKTAIL RECIPE - APEROL SMASH
A great cocktail for drinking in the garden during Wimbledon fortnight, even if we are missing the tennis this year, using fresh British strawberries and fresh mint.

INGREDIENTS
30ml Aperol
30ml White Rum
5 strawberries
6 fresh mint leaves and one for garnish
10 ml sugar syrup (200g sugar and 100ml water boiled together)
Handful of crushed ice plus extra for the glass
Dash of Angostura bitters
METHOD
Muddle all but one of the strawberries, with the mint leaves at the bottom of a cocktail shaker
Once crushed add all of the other ingredients and shake well
Strain and serve in a tumbler over ice, garnished with strawberry and mint
